How to connect a wireless device to Cr@ns Network

Login and password

Crans network uses a wireless network WPA2 Enterprise with PEAP. You need to give your login and password, the same as your Intranet credentials.

You don't need any special configuration on the Intranet: the first time you connect a new device, it will be registered automatically. Beware, your device MUST NOT already be registered in another user account!

Device without Wpa2 Enterprise (Xbox, Google Home...)

It is not possible to connect to the network of the Crans a device that does not support Wpa2 Enterprise. The easiest is to buy a WiFi router (the Crans sell some during its permanent), to connect the router to the network "Cr@ns" and to connect the device to the network of the router.

Wired connection

RJ45 cable

On the campus, each room has a RJ45 outlet. If you need one, an Ethernet cable will be given to you FOR FREE in our office at Kfet (Maison de l'├ętudiant), when you register for the first time. If you don't have any RJ45 port in your computer (e.g. MacBook air), you can buy an adaptator USB to RJ45 for less than 20 euros.
